A Yantra is a geometric design acting as a highly efficient tool for contemplation, concentration and meditation. They serve as centering devices or as symbolic compositions of the energy pattern of a deity as seen by Tantric seers in their vision.

The Sri Yantra is a mystical diagram with a deep spiritual meaning. It is called the “queen of yantras”and  is the symbol of the great divine mother principle, the source of all energy, power, and creativity. Its design is regarded as the representation of the universe as well as the body of the goddess related to the feminine principle of shakti or energy. The worship of Devi in Sri Chakra is regarded as the highest form of Devi worship.

Drawing Yantras activates both hemispheres of the brain and can be a tool for concentration, focus and connecting with the Divine.

Workshop Material

  • 2-3 sheets Paper per session (A3 cartridge paper)
    • Recommended – Classmate Artist Pad – A/3 – 130 gsm
  • Straight edge (30 cm ruler is ideal)
  • Compass – Maped or Staedtler
  • Pencils (H, HB and 2B)
  • Eraser
  • Pencil sharpener
  • A flat surface to draw on
  • A black or any other colour fineline / micro tip pen. (Recommended Micron or Artline 0.3)
  • Colours – Any medium of your choice.
  • Brushes, Water Container and Rag

Zoom link be sent a day before workshop. Recordings for the sessions will be available for 60 days.
